Fleet Chat: As an admiral, you will be expected to engage in conversation on fleet and alliance chat, to help people with their questions, and to keep the conversation lively and, to a certain extent, tasteful.  While there will be some new recruits of dubious intelligence or manners, be polite as much as possible and try to be inclusive.

Banking: Keep unwanted inventory free of worthless, unusable items.  Lockboxes are okay, as they will eventually rise in price once their event is over.  Keep things neat and organized with like items together and in stacks.  Mk I through VIII inventories should be stocked with odd-marked blue items from crafting, or possibly items that were noticeably undervalued off the exchange, as well as any uncommon or rare drops you have received of those levels from fleet alerts and starbase defense with mixed level participants.  Focus on items that people rising through the ranks would actually use and would be expensive for them to obtain.  For mk ix-xii put in any mid-range drops you get, usually rare, that are both more expensive than their vendor trade-in value, but also not worth a huge amount (say over 100k ec) on the exchange.  Do not put really expensive equipment in the fleet bank.  Instead, sell it and use the ec for yourself or to get more mid-range equipment for the bank.  As crafting is focussed on the lower level equipment, red, light blue, green, and dark blue data samples are preferred, with purple and beige only kept in small numbers.  Tetryon and methogenic particles seem to be the most useful yet least common, so keep an eye out for those.

Promotion:
- only for Deep Space Squadron and Deep Space Guard
- based on Promotion systrem, see here

Problem members: From time to time we will be witness to members who are behaving badly, either through chat with abusive language and insults, or through bank abuse.  As an admiral, you have the prerogative to take corrective action through email or eventual demotion.  Emails should be kept civil. Any demotions for these reasons should be listed in the officer comments of the roster page.  Or you can contact the fleet leader for response, especially if removal from the fleet is necessary.
